Myth 3

A brand must commit marketing dollars to partner with an entertainment property

There are many ways to leverage a placement to partner with a studio that cost no money from a brand (online promotions/banner trades, tagging planned media already purchased, email blasts to consumers, etc.). They key is to know what assets a brand has and how to position them to studio marketing.

Myth 4

Brands will end up on the cutting room floor unless they commit money to “save” their placement

Truth

You don’t have to end up on the cutting room floor. Our relationships with above the line crew (talent, directors, producers) will help influence those decision makers to work to place your brand in key plot areas.

Myth 5

Product placement agencies are “reactive.” They only field offers that come their way from studios. I can easily do this myself as there are only so many opportunities for my brand

Meteor looks at scripts in a “proactive” way. We think outside the box of generic, obvious placements to gain brands exposure throughout the project in clever and imaginative methods. We also work with multiple layers of the process including production, marketing and post to maximize opportunities.
